We love Green Bean!! After touring nearly every daycare in the LP area we knew Green Bean was the perfect fit for our now 15 month old daughter. My husband and I had zero jitters dropping her off on the very first day (3 months old) thanks to Ms. Chloe and Ms. Alicia in N1. All the staff and teachers here are genuinely happy, with smiles on their faces during pickup and drop off. They’re also incredibly communicative, nurturing, and we especially love that they treat every baby in the classroom like their own.

Being a reggio emilia school, the staff puts a heavy emphasis on getting outdoors as much as possible each day. They also have a music class for the kids each week in their movement studio. Our daughter comes home content, with new skills that she’s excited to show off. She is now thriving in the Young Toddler classroom with Ms. Ashley, Ms. Deborah, and Ms. Anna and feels perfectly at home with all of them. Also, not sure what magic they are cleaning with, but my daughter is never sick.

GB feels like home, and we’re both grateful and excited to keep growing as a family here. Best choice we’ve made as a family.

We are so incredibly happy with our experience at Green Bean. Jacob has grown and learned so much during his short time there. It is a warm and welcoming place for him and we are so appreciative of the way that the school has accommodated his needs so seamlessly. 

We explored a lot of childcare options prior to enrolling Jacob and can confidently say that Green Bean offers something truly special. The staff is lovely, the facility is beautiful. The calm, playful environment is so inviting. Brightwheel is great, and the regular updates and photos are much appreciated. The kids are getting to do so many crafts and fun learning activities -- the care and thought that is put into their days is top-notch. We have no concerns to share.

But we do want to highlight Ms. Samaiya. She is fantastic. Her genuine care for the children is obvious every day. We love the way that she engages the children in ways that leverage their innate interests with opportunities to learn new things. She is firm and consistent, which is so important for kids this age. Having her as Jacob's teacher has been a game-changer for his school readiness journey.

Our 3 month old could not be in a better place! The staff at Green Bean are so passionate and enthusiastic about child development and helping your little one flourish, which is refreshing in an industry that typically has high turnover. The care is excellent as is the communication with parents.

My daughter has been attending since May and loves it. Everyone is so kind. Highly recommend GB in River North!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Green Bean! Such tremendous peace of mind for a new parent knowing we are dropping our daughter off at a place where she is not only so well cared for, but also so loved. She loves her teachers and friends and we are so impressed by the activities they do and how much she has learned.

We started at GB Nursery about 9 months ago because our neighbor has sent their two kids for several years, and we absolutely love it!

Our son has absolutely thrived in Ms Chloe's room, and it's so clear how much she loves him and he adores her. Every day we get pictures of him smiling and having a great time, and of doing a different exploration activity. They go on daily walks if the weather isn't extreme, and the baby/teacher ratio is incredible - it really feels like he gets so much attention and care. For our 12 month check in, Ms Chloe wrote such a detailed assessment and observation of his milestones, it was so thoughtful and lovely to read through (and the grandparents loved it!).

We love the how open and large the space is, especially the common area and the outside area. It's easy to park and drive, but we also don't mind walking from Holstein Park area.
