Preschool 8/10/18

During our morning meeting, we talked about what our weekend plans are. We practiced taking turns talking and listening to each other by passing around a piece of clay. This helped us stay focus and also gave Miss Jamey a chance to let our friends preview an activity she had planned for today!

Our friends experimented with forming the clay into different shapes. They discovered that if rolled around with and played with more, the clay would become softer and easier to work with! This helped them discover more things they could create while at the art tables! 🙂

Here is a list of what our friends created:

Edie: “I’m making a castle.”

Dani: “I’m making a mountain.”

Rowan: “I’m making a snake and kimodo dragon.”

Leo: “Look at my airplane with wings!”

Namya: It’s a shotter, it can help people who are sick. It’s called a vaccination!”

Amelia: “I made a penguin!”

Finn: “It’s a ball! It rolls!”

Finally, our yoga instructor, Miss Christy, was out of town earlier this week, so she came to visit us today!

Miss Christy’s colored spots disappeared! Who could have taken them? Preschool went on a journey with Miss Christy to find out. To start off, they got on an airplane to go all the way to Australia to ask their friend, Kangaroo.

Kangaroo had a magical fortune teller that told us what to do next! It had lots of directions for us, like singing a song, jumping up and down, and all kinds of stretches!

It had us look in the Quiet Corner…

..and even told us to take a rest.

But we didn’t find the dots! Guess we’ll have to wait until next week…

Have a good weekend, everyone! 🙂
